She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she double majored in Management and in Food Science and Human Nutrition. After graduating, she pursued her career with restaurant management still unsure of her career choice. Having problems with low back pain, Kelly discovered Pilates as a way to help alleviate the problem. She felt a great passion for Pilates and the results that came with the form of movement. She did some research and enrolled in Body Arts and Science International.
Completing the 500-hour intensive program, Kelly received her certification and is certified to teach on all Pilates apparatus as well as mat classes. She has also had the privilege of studying under Rael Isacowitz, the Founder of Body Arts and Science International. Kelly has also completed her Mentor Program in Pilates through BASI and stays current with her education by going to BASI Headquarters for continuing education. It is with this passion to teach and continue to learn that she decided to open her own private studio and to share the knowledge of Pilates with so many.
She owned and operated a Pilates Studio in McDonough, Georgia where she received tremendous support from the community and continued to grow her studio. After moving to The Woodlands, Texas for her husband's job transfer, she is excited about a new adventure in her career. She was honored to become a Pilates Ambassador for lululemon athletica, where she volunteers her time to help promote Pilates. She currently had her first child and loves how Pilates has helped her keep her strength and flexibility during her pregnancy as well as how fast she recovered after her emergency C-Section.
"After moving to The Woodlands, I realized that there was a need for a Pilates studio in the area that offered Pilates instruction from qualified instructors. There are too many people teaching Pilates without the proper certifications - or even without certifications. That would be like going to a doctor with a "weekend degree". At Breathe Pilates Studio, each session is tailored to your exact goals and moves at your pace all taught by fully certified instructors. The results you will see are incredible and like no other exercise form around."

Lindsay English - BASI Student
Lindsay was raised in Lufkin, Texas, where the majority of her youth was consumed by dance classes and gymnastics competitions. Several of her childhood summers were spent in rigorous training camps with USA Olympic Gymnastics coach Bela Karolyi where she learned the importance of exercise and nutrition. After many years of gymnastics, dance and theatre began to take the lead on her list of commitments and she developed a thirst for performing onstage. After high school, Lindsay furthered her studies at Northwestern where she received a BA in Theatre and Dance. After graduating, she was fortunate enough to travel the country performing with various theatre and dance troupes before finally moving to New York City. Here, she was able to perfect her craft and advance her career with numerous workshops, classes, performance gigs, and teaching opportunities. The Big Apple, though excellent for her career as a performer, was extremely trying on her body. After suffering a severe back injury in 2003, Lindsay returned to Texas where she received her Texas certification to teach high school Theatre and Dance.
In 2009, she married her wonderful husband, Chris and relocated to the Woodlands to be with him and her two step-daughters, Kaitlyn and Nadia.
Initially, Lindsay began taking pilates as an outlet to meet new people in the Woodlands and get her body back into a “dancer’s physique”. However, in such a short time, she realized what a complete difference pilates had made in her muscle tone, flexibility, and posture. What’s more is she began to notice that pilates had also completely erased her chronic back pain! She decided then and there that she wanted to help others in their quest for a happier and healthier life. “I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to help others discover the potential of their body!”
